PRE-INSTALLATION:

At QueenDay Hair, we are committed to providing you with quality 100% virgin hair.

  • Rinse the hair under warm water. (It is important that you keep the plastic security band around the bundle during this process to avoid tangling.)

  • Then, run your fingers through the hair.

  • Set out to air dry.

  • Once dry, the hair should be tangle and shed-free.

If you detect any problems during this pre-installation process, please contact us immediately.

We stand behind the quality of our hair 100%.

INSTALLATION TIPS:

When doing a full sew-in, professional stylists suggest folding the wefts rather than cutting individual tracks. This maintains the integrity of the extension, prevents shedding, and makes re-installation easier.

Machine Wefted Hair: When installing wefted extensions with a needle, it is recommended that you sew around the weft rather than through. Putting a needle through the weft will weaken the structure and cause shedding.

Bulk Hair: All QueenDay hair has cuticles intact, with all hairs facing the same direction from root to tip. Therefore, always pull hair from the top where it is tied with the rubber band. NEVER take hair from the bottom of the bundle. Taking strands from the bottom will cause the hair to be inverted and result in matting and tangling.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE:

Once you receive your QueenDay Hair Custom Wigs, Toppers and Extensions:

  • We suggest that you have your stylist trim the ends, especially if you plan on doing a lot of heat styling. Hot tools can contribute to split ends, shortening the life of your extensions.

  • Always use a low PH high moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Hair extensions do not receive a benefit from your natural scalp oil, so it's important to use a leave in conditioner after washing.

  • We recommend products that keep hair soft and manageable. Shea Moisture Natural Infusions 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Moisture Boosting Shampoo and Conditioner, Redken All Soft, Pureology Hair Care, Mizani Moisturfusion Milk Bath and Inflúance Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner.

  • It is suggested that you visit your stylist regularly to have your hair and extensions shampooed, especially when wearing a sewn-in installation. It is critical that hair is properly cleansed and dried.

  • Hair extensions should not be handled rigorously and should always be shampooed in a downward motion.

  • To avoid frizz never rub your hair with a towel, that can make frizz worse, instead you should pat your hair dry. It's always best to let your hair air dry but if you need to use a blow dryer only half way(semi damp) dry it and let it finish by air drying.

  • When styling use a soft bristle brush starting from the bottom, gently work your way up. Do not tug or pull on the hair. Keep styling products to a minimum to prevent weighing down the hair.

  • At night, tie your hair up gently or wrap it to prevent tangling.
